Once she tried Loopwheels, she just couldn’t believe how smooth it felt over the obstacles compared with her non-suspension wheels. She was 100% won over immediately!
I use Loopwheels Extreme.

Sam first saw Loopwheels at their launch at Naidex, and bought her first pair soon after, in May 2015. She had to be talked into giving them a go at the exhibition by her assistant David, but once she tried the Loopwheels, she just couldn’t believe how smooth it felt over the obstacles compared with her non-suspension wheels. She was 100% won over immediately!
Sam has bought 4 pairs of Loopwheels over the last 10 years. She’s still regularly using Loopwheels Classics in purple, but interchanges with her Loopwheels Extreme for the winter and trips out on grassy or forest paths. She has some “red, white and blue” multi-colour Classics too. For Sam, the really important benefit of Loopwheels is the comfort and pain relief she experiences, but she also loves that they enable her to personalise her wheelchair with different colour options.
Sam told us she’s had to use spoked wheels recently whilst using a temporary chair with 12mm axles, and absolutely hates them in comparison with her Loopwheels as she feels every bump. She couldn’t wait to get bearing adapters fitted so she could get her Loopwheels back on.
We gave both pairs of Loopwheels, her Extremes and purple Classics, a quick check over. The bearings had worked loose in her Classics and we fixed these, popped some air in her tyres and fitted some adapters so she can use the Loopwheels with her temporary 12mm axle wheelchair. We will take those out for her when she eventually gets her brand new permanent wheelchair, which will be a Sunrise Quickie.
Sam and David told us that Loopwheels have made an absolutely massive difference to Sam’s comfort and enjoyment when she is out and about and she is just so glad to have Loopwheels.
